My Fellow Eastern North Carolinians,
Thank You for your support!
It is obvious after the primaries on May 6th that you have an obvious choice for who you want to represent you.
Other than Brad Miller's victory in District 13, we won our race with the greatest percentage of votes (69.2%) in the 2008 N.C. Primaries!
However, our journey has only begun and your support is greatly needed.
Though not the best choice for our future, our opponent in November's General Election is a formidable one.
We need your help in educating Eastern North Carolina that I am the best person to lead us through the coming years!

2. Craig won the 2008 N.C. Primaries on Tuesday, May 6th with 69.2% of the votes. 53,846 of the 77,734 votes cast in the US Congress District 3 (Dem) race went to Craig!

Press Release : Weber For Congress
On February 13th 2008, Craig Weber from Carteret County filed for the 3rd Congressional District. He was the Democratic Candidate in 2006, and is once again seeking the seat currently held by Walter Jones Jr.
Craig is well known throughout Eastern NC where he and much of his family still call home. He also served this community as weatherman for WCTI Ch 12 for a number of years. Mr. Weber helped start The Weather Channel as one of its first meteorologists. He worked in Atlanta, Houston, Philadelphia and New York; but Eastern North Carolina is where he has called home for over 40 years. He is a family man. His passion for the welfare of the people of Eastern North Carolina is infinite and without question.
Mr. Weber states,
" My Family has served in the military every generation since the Civil War. I must protect the military and their families; I have help and incentives waiting for you. I am Marine Corps.Our coastal economy must energize during these times of trial and uncertainty. The truth is shrouded. We have inflation and we are in recession. Small Business can build and survive with tax breaks. We can progress through this.
Healthcare must be adopted to aid all. John Edwards' proposal was bold and workable. I will seek his help.
The War in Iraq ends, but I want Bin Laden. We need closure for America.
Social Security and Medicare must be guarded with action. I will build and secure them.
No wall should keep anyone from loving America. My family helped bring the Statue of Liberty to America and build the Peace Bridge to Canada, and a cross was burned on their lawn. We have laws for entry. We must enforce protection for Americans and immigrants. We must reform Immigration and enforce it.
A woman and a man of African descent are making American History. The joy of relief from shackled hearts is near, with peace for Susan B. Anthony, Rosa Parks and Harriet Tubman among others, all tortured by prejudice.
Passe and milk toast representation of the North Carolina 3rd District must end. Editorialist and Political Analyst have chastised Democrats for not showing strength of conviction and initiative. We have a run-down economy. We have a War that 73% of Americans do not want. I want out of Iraq. Being Marine Corps, I want Bin Laden, somehow. We have Veterans suffering. We have middle and low income families suffering the affects of Corporate spending and tax breaks. With loss of jobs, money can not supplement Social Security and Medicare. The Golden Years are tarnished for hard working Americans. Americans do not have homes. They are hungry, sad and worn thin. America must find her way home and revive basic principles held high in our Constitution for our fellow human beings. We must embrace a strong and continuing plan against terrorism. Let the world see and rely on us to remain constant on this. I want the next generation to feel and see a strength of renewed integrity of The United States, where abuse of its law-abiding citizens is not tolerated. I want Medical Assistance for all. I want America to stop being a major polluter of our planet and God's Earth. If you want someone to stand and deliver, I am stepping out of the box, and "I want the ball." If you want change then "come get it, vote for it, and take it."
